Community Transformation

God has given Pastor Mealancon and the Progressive Church family a mandate to transform the community around their local Church, by eradicating blight, poverty, illiteracy and economic disparities.

Our community transformation project has replaced three blighted properties with new homes occupied by first time home buyers, renovated a local facility as a Multi-purpose Center, repurposed a property to be used as our Youth Center facility and purchased over twenty-eight continuous acres of land for development. This development, “The Center of Hope” will address the spiritual, physical, social, educational and economical needs of the people to create a prosperous community.

We also envision decent, safe and affordable housing for the Elderly community and commercial developments that will house business to help create jobs, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in the community.
